Aluminium 1070 square bars consist of a minimum 99.7% pure aluminium, with very small traces of iron and silicon as impurities. This high aluminium content gives the alloy excellent corrosion resistance, superior electrical and thermal conductivity, and good formability. Aluminium 1070 has relatively low mechanical strength, with a tensile strength of around 60–95 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 35 MPa. The material has a hardness of about 20–30 HB, making it soft, ductile, and easy to work with.
